Game 2

VS.

Wednesday, May 6/09

111 (LA) - 98(HOU)
Series tied @ 1 a piece

I gotta admit after game 1 I was depressed. It felt like the first few days of a break up... I didn't want to talk about it, I changed my status on blackberry messenger to "unavailable", I didn't hit the usual NBA websites, I didn't even touch my blog.

But throughout the past 2 days I never wavered from what I knew would be the final outcome of game 2. A statement game. I knew the team I've followed since I was a small child would not let me down. I knew my favorite player EVER would not let it happen.

KB came out on fire w/ 15 1st quarter points and finally got some help w/ Pau Gasol chipping in 13. Although LO only chipped in w/ 7 points, his intangible skills were easily the X factor as he added 11 boards, 4 assists and 1 steal.

The game was not w/o controversy as Derrick Fisher was ejected after stepping into a Louis Scola pick. He flattened out Scola, but at the same time took a decent gash to the side of the head. Flagerent 2 and a possible suspension for game 3.

Former Laker Von Wafer was ejected... from his own bench by Rick Adelman the head coach of the Rockets! As a bench warmer who has a had a handful of decent games, I don't think that gives you the right to start chirping at your head coach.

And finally Ron Ron tossed in the 4th Q. Yes Kobe hit'em in the throat, but not hard enough to warrant a foul! C'mon Ron Ron, you know better then anyone when you're battling on the block you run the chance of getting hurt. Don't go chasing Kobe across the floor and getting into his face, especially when your team still has a chance to win.

This serious is quickly turning into a slobber knocker! Can't wait till game 3.

BTW I'm predicting 4-2 final for the Lakers.

PS- I hate Bynum... Real Talk
